I got this tiny guy from my brother-in-law for Christmas. It’s a ThinkGeek R/C Micro Metal Gear Helicopter.
I am really surprised at what a sweet little flier this bird is, especially given its tiny size and its $30 price tag. It’s only a 3-channel, so there’s no side-to-side motion (roll). The throttle is very sensitive, as it is with all these little micro helis, and the included transmitter has no throttle curves or expo to help you out.
The IR controller limits you to indoor flight, but that’s not much of a problem as you’d rarely want to take this tiny thing out of doors.
All-in-all, I give this one a thumbs up!
