In looking for a home for a leftover 17 gram, 2400kV motor, I happened upon Nico Hobbie’s littleĀ profile F-22 and decided to give it a try.
The battery ended up very close to the CG of the plane, which I hope will actually improve its handling, especially pitch response.
Setup:
- Said 17 gram, 2400kV motor
- GWS 4530 prop
- Hobby King 10A ESC
- Hobby King OrangeRx receiver (with the case removed)
- Tower Pro SG-50 5g servos
- 450mAh – 800mAh LiPo batteries
It develops 74.7 watts at 6.7 amps, more than sufficient for its AUW of 141 grams / 5 oz. I‘m seriously considering I’ve applied a sloppy pink polka-dot camo paint.
