Blade Out!

I purchased a Venom V40 motor with an eye toward running it in my Stryker. To get an idea about amp draw, etc., I plugged it into my stock setup, clamped on my stock propeller, advanced the throttle to about 50% and … BANG!!

The prop split in half. Half was embedded in the lower half of the port stabilizer. The other half passed completely through the starboard stabilizer and flat disappeared.

Note to self: Stock 6×4 Stryker props will not turn at 3000 RPM.

Half a prop, embedded in the bottom of the stab.
