(Yet Another) crash of the F8F Bearcat “Monkee Shines”

I have a love/hate relationship with this plane. The kit itself is crap. The foam is too soft and the only way to get to the battery is by unbolting the wing. (Just yesterday, I spent close to an hour on my hands and knees in the dirt of my flying field, looking for that damned wing screw.)

It’s not especially fast but it is a super-responsive plane that’s a real handful. I kinda like that. Unfortunately, it’s not very forgiving and I’m not very smart so I seem to spend more time rebuilding it than flying it.

It’s on the workbench again after this little mishap. Fuselage broken completely in half behind the firewall; motor loose; shaft bent. It does not like to fly slow.
