Today while pulling some high-gee stunts, I managed to fold the port wing on my ultra-micro J-3 Cub. After gluing it back together, I decided to add some wing wires – inspired by my recent work on a scratch built Sopwith Triplane. The trick was to get them tight enough to hold the wing without being tight enough to bend the wing down. We’ll see how it works.
